Michael Joe McCauley Killed in Truck Accident in Cimarron County, OK

According to their initial findings, Michael McCauley from Texas was in a Peterbilt semi-truck going northbound along the highway. It appears there was a tire blowout on the truck’s driver side steer tire. Due to this, McCauley’s truck careened off the side of the road where it crashed into the embankment, then overturned.

As a result of the crash, McCauley sustained injuries which ultimately proved fatal. Reports did not mention anyone else involved in the crash nor if there were other injuries. They have yet to release additional details about the crash. It remains unclear whether the tire blowout was the result of wear, an object in the road, or some kind of defect. Investigations are ongoing.
