Port Arthur, TX — July 22, 2025, Michael Brown was killed as the result of a car accident at around 9:50 a.m. along Highway 87.
According to initial details about the accident, it took place along Highway 87 at the intersection with South 11th Street.
Investigators said that 72-year-old Michael Brown was in a Nissan Frontier going northbound along the highway. Authorities say that another person, reportedly on a motorized device, was also going northbound. In events which are not clear right now, the Nissan Frontier crashed.
Due to the accident, Michael Brown reportedly was killed. No other injuries were reported. At this time, additional details are unavailable.

There are far more questions than answers here, and it makes me wonder if this incident really got the attention it deserved. Sometimes, families are given a lot more information behind the scenes than what the public gets to see. Maybe authorities did that here. A lot of times, though, authorities simply move on without getting the whole story, and families are left looking for answers on their own. That’s why a lot of accidents that people would think are simple actually end up needing independent investigators to step in and fill in the blanks. If an accident never gets the attention it needs, it will just leave families in the dark, and they deserve better.
