Amarillo, TX — January 22, 2024, Michael N. Bridges was injured as the result of a motorcycle accident that happened around 8:30 p.m. along Interstate 40.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident happened along eastbound lanes of the interstate near South Grand Street.
It appears from investigations that 56-year-old Michael Bridges was on a Harley-Davidson going eastbound on the I-40 access road. After going up an entrance ramp, the motorcycle somehow lost control. This caused the bike to fall over and skid onto the main lanes of the interstate.
Bridges was thrown from the bike, and he sustained reportedly serious injuries. There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the accident. Right now, additional details remain unconfirmed.
