San Antonio, TX — March 15, 2024, Megan Coleman was injured following an alleged drunk driver accident at around 10:30 p.m. on Bulverde Road.
Preliminary information about the accident says that it happened off the corner of Bulverde Road and Wetmore Ridge.

According to officials, 33-year-old Megan Alicia Coleman was a passenger in a Chevy Cruze going westbound along Bulverde. Up ahead, it appears a Nissan Rogue was on the wrong side of the road, and it crashed head-on into the Chevy. As a result, Coleman had serious injuries. No other injuries were reported.

Authorities allege that the driver of the Nissan was under the influence of alcohol at the time and that the driver admitted to drinking at a local bar. That’s an incredibly significant admission, if true. If someone is drunk enough to drive on the wrong side of the road after leaving a bar, it’s virtually guaranteed that bar illegally over-served the driver. They can be held accountable for that.
Unfortunately, alcohol providers tend to slip through the cracks. They tend to put all the blame on the drunk driver, then move on. That’s why a lot of the bars our firm has had personal injury cases against, for example, weren’t being investigated by authorities. Had our clients not been proactive to make sure they were getting all the facts, those establishments likely would have escaped consequences entirely.
It’s a shame when that happens because alcohol providers that are held accountable tend to clean up their act, and that helps ensure others won’t be harmed in the future. Hopefully authorities mentioning a bar here is a sign they’re including it in their investigations. Otherwise, they may not be getting a conclusion someone hurt in a crash like this deserves.
