How Did This Accident Occur?
At this point, we don’t know why the Dodge pickup left its lane.
Was the driver distracted, maybe by a cell phone? Did the pickup experience a tire blowout? Was there an issue with its steering mechanism?
The answers to those questions won’t come from guesses or assumptions, but from a thorough investigation that takes into account witness statements, evidence from the scene and data from the vehicles involved in the crash. An independent expert may need to be brought in if authorities don’t have the time or training to inspect the Dodge to ensure it was operating properly.
