Karnes County, TX — June 8, 2023, Maximino Hurtado was killed as the result of a single-vehicle car accident at around 9:50 p.m. along U.S. 181.
According to preliminary details from authorities, the crash took place near the intersection of U.S. Highway 181 and County Road 144.
Officials said that 21-year-old Maximino Hurtado was in a Mercury Grand Marquis that was going northbound along U.S. 181. For reasons which are not currently confirmed, the vehicle drifted right, then apparently veered left and ran off the side of the road. There, the vehicle then skidded into a tree.
As a result of the crash, Hurtado reportedly succumbed to fatal injuries. Details did not show anyone else being involved in the crash. Currently, the factors leading up to the crash are still under investigation.
