Keene, TX — May 13, 2023, Matthew Davis was killed as the result of a shooting outside the Sonic he worked at along S. Old Betsy Road.
OSHA officials and other media outlets have released information about the fatal shooting, which resulted in a 13-year-old being convicted and at least two others arrested.
According to current information, Matthew Davis was working at the time when he confronted a 20-year-old man allegedly urinating outside the Sonic Drive-in. This led to a physical altercation, during which reports say a 13-year-old was given a rifle from his aunt in their vehicle, and he shot Davis multiple times. The three then reportedly left the scene, and Davis’s later succumbed to his injuries.
At this time, the 13-year-old is serving a sentence for murder while the boy’s aunt was reportedly arrested for manslaughter. The teen’s uncle was also arrested, but additional details are unclear a this time. No further information about the incident is available right now.
