Guadalupe County, TX — August 5, 2023, Mason Steffens and another person were injured following a car accident after midnight along Highway 46.
According to statements from authorities, the incident took place in the area of Highway 46 and Link Road.
Officials said that a 26-year-old Kia Spectra was going northbound along the highway. Somehow, that vehicle crossed paths with a southbound Subaru Outback driven by 22-year-old Mason Steffens. As a result, the two vehicles collided head-on. Steffens’s vehicle then overturned off-road.
Due to the collision, the driver of the Kia had injuries described as incapacitating. Steffens had unspecified injuries. Right now, authorities say alcohol is a suspected contributing factor. No further information can be confirmed at this time.
