Williamson County, TX — June 8, 2024, Martin Ruble Jr. and one other person were injured in a car accident just after 12:00 noon along West 2nd Street.

According to authorities, 43-year-old Martin Ruble Jr. and two other people were traveling in an eastbound Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck on West 2nd Street at the C.R. 401 intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a westbound Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck occupied by a 19-year-old man on 2nd Street attempted a left turn to head south on C.R. 401 at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic at a flashing yellow arrow. This resulted in a collision between the two pickup trucks in the intersection.

Ruble suffered reportedly severe injuries as a result of the wreck; the man from the Silverado was also moderately injured, according to reports. They were each transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
