Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
I know a lot of people see single-vehicle wrecks and assume that all the blame rests with the drivers. That’s often true, but making that assumption potentially overlooks other possible factors that may have been involved. Mechanical issues, road design flaws, drivers illegally over-served by a bar, tire blowouts, missing signage or lighting—these are just a few examples I’ve seen cause these wrecks where someone else besides the people in the vehicle was responsible for their role in the crash. Maybe no such factors happened here, but it’s important the evidence speaks for itself.
