Abilene, TX — August 12th, 2024, Marcus Herrera was injured following a motorcycle accident that happened around 6:35 P.M. on Butternut St.
An investigation is underway into a car accident that left one person injured during the evening hours of August 12th. According to official reports, Herrera was travelling on a motorcycle on Butternut Street in the northbound lanes, at the 14th Street intersection, when a Chevy pickup coming from the west on 14th failed to yield the right-of-way and was struck by Herrera.
As a result of the impact, both vehicles sustained significant damage. When first responders arrived on the scene, they found that Herrera had been ejected and sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital. At this time there has been no further information released about the accident, including the status of Herrera’s injuries and whether any charges or citations will be filed.
