How Did This Accident Occur?

When I read that a vehicle “lost control” before crashing, I know that further investigation is needed. Lost control seems to be law enforcement jargon for “I don’t know what happened.”

Investigators should review physical evidence at the scene and data from the Honda to determine how the crash happened. They should also check out the vehicle itself to see if a mechanical problem, like worn tires or faulty brakes, contributed to the crash. If police don’t have the expertise for such an examination, an independent expert may be needed.
