Lewisburg, PA — November 15, 2023, Mabel Shively was killed in a pedestrian vs truck accident at around 11:00 a.m. along Market Street.
According to authorities, 77-year-old Mabel Shively was attempting to cross Market Street on foot between the 3rd Street and 4th Street intersections outside of a marked crosswalk when the accident took place.
For as yet unknown reasons, Shively was struck by an 18-wheeler which had been traveling along Market Street. She was declared deceased upon arrival of first responders. No other injuries have been reported in connection with this incident.
The cause of the accident is under active investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were not reported on. Additional details are currently unavailable.
