Shreveport, LA — July 17, 2023, one person was killed following a loose trailer accident late Monday along North Market Street.
Investigators with the Shreveport Police said that the incident took place at approximately 6:24 p.m. on North Market Street between the Booth Drive and Deer Park Road intersections.
According to officials, a GMC truck was traveling along Market when, for reasons unclear, the trailer it was hauling separated from the truck. The trailer careened away from the truck and collided with a Nissan that was going northbound. This then sent the Nissan off-road.
Due to the accident, the Nissan driver sustained fatal injuries. That person has not been publicly identified at this time. No other injuries were reported. At this time, the factors leading up to the crash are still under investigation.
