Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
My concern with any motorcycle accident is whether or not the investigations will be handled with care and without bias. Unfortunately, a lot of folks have a negative view of motorcyclists. Even authorities sometimes let their preconceived notions stand in the way of gathering clear facts.
That’s why I’ve had cases where authorities either missed something crucial or came to false conclusions, and it took thorough independent investigations to set the record straight. An independent investigation here might simply show that authorities have been diligent and set their bias aside, but it may otherwise show there are crucial details that aren’t getting the attention they deserve.
