Mumford, TX — November 23, 2025, Logan Bowen was injured due to a single-vehicle accident just after 2:45 a.m. along Farm to Market 1362.

According to authorities, 25-year-old Logan Bowen was traveling in a southeast bound Dodge Challenger on F.M. 1362 in the vicinity southeast of the County Road 337 intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the Challenger failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It was consequently involved in a single-vehicle collision in which it apparently overturned.

Bowen reportedly sustained serious injuries over the course of the accident. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.

Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

When a driver is seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash, early reports often attribute it to simple “loss of control.” But that explanation alone doesn’t cover the full range of possibilities—and those need to be examined, especially when the injured party may not be able to speak for themselves.

Did the authorities thoroughly investigate the crash?
It’s not enough to assume driver error. Investigators should examine the road surface for signs of oil, water, or debris that might have contributed to the Challenger losing traction. Were there any visibility issues such as inadequate lighting, missing signage, or sharp curves that weren’t properly marked? Documentation of those factors can distinguish between a driver making a mistake and a roadway that set them up to fail.

Has anyone looked into the possibility that a vehicle defect caused the crash?
Overcorrection or drifting out of a lane could suggest a mechanical failure. Were the Challenger’s suspension and steering systems intact? Was there a tire blowout or brake malfunction? These aren’t idle questions—many single-vehicle crashes are later found to have been influenced by equipment failures that weren’t immediately obvious.

Has all the electronic data relating to the crash been collected?
A vehicle like a Dodge Challenger is equipped with an event data recorder that likely captured vital information: speed, steering inputs, braking force, and throttle position leading up to the crash. That data can help determine whether the vehicle’s behavior matched what a reasonable driver would be expected to do—or whether something unexpected forced the vehicle off the road.

Single-vehicle crashes may seem simple on the surface, but they often leave the most room for assumptions to go unchecked. A thorough investigation asks not only what happened, but why—and whether it could have been prevented.
