Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

One has to wonder what would make a driver behave the way that’s been described here. For example, I didn’t see anything about authorities looking into alcohol as a contributing factor here, but there could be a lot more to this accident than just an angry driver.

At the end of the day, people who are hurt in a crash need to know as much information as possible going forward. Authorities prioritize criminal charges, and that doesn’t necessarily align with the needs of victims who are left injured and looking for a path forward. That’s why there often needs to be independent accident reconstructions to look at an accident through the lens of victims and their families to make sure they can get whatever help is available to them.
