Walton, KY — July 16, 2023, Lauren Collins perished when a loose tire broke through her car’s windshield around 12:15 a.m. on I-75 in Walton.
According to authorities, Mrs. Collins’s Buick LaCrosse was southbound on Interstate 75 when a tire broke through her windshield. She was purportedly rushed to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with serious injuries, but her injuries ultimately proved to be fatal.
Investigators say the tire may have belonged to a dually truck, but this is currently only speculation and other vehicle types are still possible. Anyone with any information is recommended to call the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
