Potter County, TX — October 14, 2023, Laura Arredondo was killed and one was injured following a car accident at around 2:25 a.m. along U.S. Highway 87.
Authorities said that the accident happened across both directions of the highway in the area of mile marker 128 north of Amarillo.
Initial details indicate that 33-year-old Laura Arredondo was a passenger in a GMC Sierra driven by a 34-year-old man. While traveling northbound, the pickup somehow left to the roadway toward the median, crossed the median, and overturned across southbound lanes.
During the rollover, authorities say Arredondo was thrown from the vehicle. Arredondo sustained fatal injuries as a result. The driver had injuries which were called non-incapacitating.
