Vigo County, IN — October 30, 2024, Kumar Mukesh and one other person were injured in a truck accident shortly before 3:30 p.m. along I.H. 70.
According to authorities, 39-year-old Kumar Mukesh and one other person were traveling in an eastbound Freightliner 18-wheeler on I.H. 70 in the vicinity of MM 14 when the accident took place.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the Freightliner failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It reportedly veered out of the active lanes of the interstate and into the center median where it overturned, coming to a stop resting on its left side. Both Mukesh and the other occupant of the truck suffered injuries of unknown severity; they were each transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
