Ector County, TX — April 2, 2023, Kristofer Goodrum and Jessica Goodrum were killed due to a hit-and-run accident along University Boulevard.
Officials said they were called to the area of West University Boulevard and Sycamore driver, in West Odessa, late Sunday night. It appears they found that 40-year-olf Kristofer Goodrum and 38-year-old Jessica Goodrum were on a motorcycle traveling eastbound along University. At Sycamore, it appears an oncoming pickup failed to yield, causing a collision. That pickup then apparently left the scene.
Both Kristofer and Jessica Goodrum ultimately succumbed to fatal injuries as a result of the crash. Police continue to search for the pickup that left the scene, which currently is only said to be a 2017 Chevy Silverado. No further information can be confirmed right now.

While those few details leave something to be desired, it’s still important they stay as public as possible. These situations typically reach a conclusion because someone in the community is able to connect the dots to a friend, co-worker, family member, neighbor, or someone else they’ve otherwise encountered. That way, there can be appropriate consequences for this awful event. I remain hopeful continued efforts from locals will lead to a proper resolution for the families involved here.
