Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

I certainly wouldn’t speculate about the cause of a crash like this, considering how little information is currently available. My concern, though, is if others are being equally prudent. Unfortunately, a lot of people ignore all the possible reasons this can happen without the motorcyclist being able to avoid it because they just automatically assume all riders are reckless. It’s an all too common bias against motorcyclists, and sometimes even authorities can let the negative bias warp their view. Hopefully authorities here are being more thorough to ensure the victim’s loved ones are getting the full story.
