Harris County, TX — April 22, 2024, Khiem Nguyen was injured as the result of a car accident that happened around 3:00 a.m. on the Katy Freeway.
Authorities said they responded to the Spring Valley Village area near Voss Road.
It appears that 32-year-old Khiem Duc Nguyen was in a Nissan Frontier going westbound along the interstate. Authorities say that a Honda Accord crashed into the Frontier, causing it to lose control and crashed. The Honda driver reportedly fled the scene, but details show they were identified and charged.
Khiem Duc Nguyen reportedly had injuries due to the accident. No additional details were reported.

If authorities caught the right person here, it seems they took steps to see there were consequences for leaving the scene of the crash. But why did the driver flee? A lot of times, there was something besides the crash itself that leads to a driver fleeing. For example, drunk driving or warrants are common. Did anything like that happen here?
