Brazoria County, TX — June 21, 2024, Kenitra Bennett and one other person were injured in a car accident at approximately 9:00 a.m. along Cullen Parkway.
According to authorities, 49-year-old Kenitra Bennett was traveling in a northbound Kia Soul on Cullen Parkway at the McHard Road intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a southbound Infiniti occupied by a 16-year-old boy failed to yield the right of way as it attempted a left turn on a flashing yellow arrow from Cullen to eastbound McHard. This resulted in a collision between the Infiniti and the Kia.
Bennett sustained reportedly serious injuries due to the wreck; the boy from the Infiniti was moderately injured, as well, according to reports. They were each transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
