New Sharon, ME — May 2, 2023, Kaylie Ladd was killed and Melanie Green and two children were hurt in a truck accident at 1:19 p.m. on Farmington Falls Road.
Officials with the Maine Department of Public Safety reported that the collision occurred between an SUV and an Archies recycling truck along Farmington Falls Road.
Initial details about the crash said that 38-year-old Melanie Greene and 18-year-old Kaylie Ladd were in an SUV along with a toddler and an infant. While the SUV was traveling along Farmington Falls, a collision somehow occurred where the SUV and an Archies recycling truck collided. Authorities did not specify what exactly caused the crash.
Ladd ultimately succumbed to fatal injuries as a result of the collision. Greene and the two children were sent to a hospital with unspecified injuries. It’s unclear if anyone on the truck had injuries. At this time, investigations are ongoing.
