Houston, TX — April 15, 2024, Kathleen Rayburn was injured following a car accident shortly before 7:45 a.m. along Holcombe Boulevard.
According to authorities, 37-year-old Kathleen Rayburn was traveling in a westbound Volkswagen Jetta in the left turn lane on Holcombe Boulevard at the Ringness Avenue intersection when the accident took place.
The Jetta reportedly proceeded to make the left turn once the traffic signal gave a green arrow. As it did so, however, an eastbound Honda Accord failed to stop for the red light, entering the intersection at an apparently unsafe time. This resulted in a collision between the front-right corner of the Accord and the front-left of the Jetta. The Accord then veered to the right where it crashed into a traffic light box before swerving back to the left and colliding with the front-right side of a Honda Civic.
Rayburn suffered reportedly severe injuries as a result of the wreck; she was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
