Waco, TX — March 4, 2023, Katherine Agostino was injured as the result of an accident where two vehicles collided along 19th Street.
Officials said that the incident took place at approximately 7:38 p.m. along 19th Street in the area of Lake Shore Drive. Details say that 36-year-old Katherine Agostino was in a Jeep Wrangler traveling southbound along 19th Street. At Lake Shore, the Jeep and a westbound pickup collided.
Agostino was said to have incapacitating injuries resulting from the collision. The other driver was not said to be injured. Right now, the available evidence does not confirm the cause of the crash.

Seeing that this happened where there’s a traffic signal, it’s likely that this all comes down to who had the right-of-way at the time of the crash. People tend to think that’s not too difficult to investigate, but it may surprise them to see how often something seemingly straight-forward slips through the cracks.
Not even that long ago, someone came to me because he claimed to have a green light when a truck crashed into him. That truck driver also claimed to have the green light, but authorities simply felt it was up to the drivers to sort things out themselves. Not long after we began investigations, though, we found a nearby security camera that caught the whole thing on video and clearly showed the truck run the light.
Maybe authorities here were more thorough behind the scenes and made sure nothing important went overlooked. But without seeing all of the evidence, there’s no real way to make that sort of conclusion with any confidence.
