Gillespie County, TX — July 8, 2024, Kametra Jordan and eleven others were injured following a car accident at around 3:30 a.m. along Interstate 10.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened along eastbound lanes of the highway a few miles northwest of Kerrville.
Investigators said that 29-year-old Kametra Jordan was one of 8 people in a Mitsubishi Outlander going along I-10. For reasons unconfirmed, the Mitsubishi and a Kia also going eastbound collided. As a result of the crash, five people in the Mitsubishi had serious injuries. Kametra Jordan and two others had minor injuries. From the Kia, a 71-year-old man was seriously injured.

With so many people involved and the chaos of numerous serious injuries, I have little doubt that this was a hectic accident scene authorities had to respond to. Whenever that happens, it’s reasonable to be concerned about whether authorities were able to dedicate time and effort to the investigations beyond clearing the scene and assisting the victims. Sometimes, all of the chaos surrounding a crash leads to details slipping through the cracks. That’s why in many of the countless car accident cases I’ve handled, there had to be independent investigations to fill in the gaps and make sure nothing important went overlooked. Maybe authorities were able to conduct proper, thorough investigations here, but it wouldn’t be unusual if someone involved in such a serious accident felt that there may still be stones left unturned.
