Orange County, TX — April 6, 2023, June Marie Jones was killed, and Calvin McClelland and Clifton Gunter were injured in a truck accident around 5:15 p.m. on Hwy. 12 in Orange County.
Authorities report June Marie Jones and Calvin McClelland were in a passenger vehicle facing eastbound, reportedly near Old Buna Road, attempting a U-turn when their vehicle collided with an eastbound Ford pickup truck.
Mrs. Jones was fatally injured in the accident. Her passenger, Calvin McClelland, and the driver of the Ford truck both reportedly suffered minor injuries and were transported to a hospital.
Reports indicate it was raining heavily at the time of the crash, however, authorities have not released any causal factors.
