Houston, TX — September 5, 2024, a woman was killed following a pedestrian versus hit-and-run car accident at 5:00 a.m. on the North Freeway service road.
According to authorities, a woman was apparently sleeping in a sidewalk area in the vicinity of the North Freeway service road and Cathedral Lakes Parkway intersection when the accident took place.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the woman was struck by a motor vehicle. The striking vehicle allegedly fled the scene, the person(s) inside failing to stop and render aid of any sort to the victim. The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision and was declared deceased at the scene.
