Longview, TX — May 26, 2024, Juan Sanchez was injured as the result of a car accident at around 8:45 p.m. along North Eastman Road.
According to officials, the incident took place in the area of the Eastman Road (U.S. 259) and East Hawkins Parkway intersection.
Investigators said that 45-year-old Juan Pablo Sanchez was in a Chevy Equinox going southbound on Eastman. For reasons not confirmed right now, the Equinox collided with a Ford F-150. As a result, Sanchez sustained serious injuries. The other driver apparently wasn’t injured.

Something to keep in mind is that car accidents aren’t usually as simple as people think. There can always be extenuating circumstances authorities don’t catch in their preliminary investigations. Was there a mechanical issue? Is there a problem with this stretch of road? Was someone illegally over-served by a bar? Did the victim suffer injuries due to a faulty safety device, such as a defective airbag? It can take a lot of time and particular tools to investigate things like that. So unless authorities here were able to rule out these other possibilities, they may not be getting the whole story.
