Arlington, TX — August 30, 2024, Juan Montanez Valles was injured as the result of a car accident at around 9:30 p.m. along Little Road.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident took place in the area of the Little Road and Green Oaks Boulevard intersection.
According to officials, 35-year-old Juan Montanez Valles was in a Mazda going along Green Oaks and crossing Little Road. At the same time, a northbound BMW was crossing. The BMW crashed into the right side of Montanez Valles’s vehicle. As a result, Montanez Valles was seriously injured. There did not appear to be any other confirmed injuries.

There aren’t many more confirmed details than the few put out by the news. Something that stands out to me, though, is that only one person appeared to be seriously injured here. It’s possible this was a reasonable outcome, depending on the exact nature of the collision. It’s important to be careful, though, because sometimes that can be a sign of a safety feature defect. People in similar sized vehicles will generally have similar injuries. The fact only one person was seriously injured is something noteworthy that shouldn’t go overlooked.
