According to these reports, 54-year-old Juan Carlos Garcia was on foot attempting to cross North 29th Street from east to west in the vicinity of the West Ebony Avenue intersection. Officials state that, for as yet unknown reasons, he was struck by a northbound Chevrolet Tahoe. He incurred fatal injuries and reports state that he was declared deceased at the scene. The two people who had been in the Tahoe at the time of the accident reportedly fled the scene, but were later located; the driver is reportedly facing charges of Collision Involving Injury or Death. The investigation is still ongoing.

According to authorities, 54-year-old Juan Carlos Garcia was on foot on 29th Street in the vicinity south of the Erie Avenue intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, Garcia was struck by a motor vehicle. He suffered reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the accident. Reports state that there is someone in custody in connection with this accident and charges against them are currently pending.
