OSHA alleges there were serious violations here, and it would obviously be an important step forward if they confirmed and addressed those allegations. However, that still wouldn’t likely be the end of the story. In Texas, families often have a legal maze between them and fair resolution following the lose of a family member to a work accident. OSHA tends to focus solely on their own responsibilities, so it’s rare for reports like this one to address the full scope of Texas work accident law. As such, it’s important families know what paths are available to them under Texas law and what tools and evidence they’ll need to navigate that path. If families look no farther than the OSHA investigations, they might find there are crucial details they missed.
