Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

I certainly can’t provide more information about the crash than what’s currently available to the public already. But when I look at the intersection listed in these reports, I can’t help wondering if the commercial truck driver made a mistake of some sort.

The images I can find of this crossing clearly show that the highway does not have traffic control lights or signs, but traffic along 4th Avenue has stop signs. So unless authorities were just really ineffective at describing these events, a vehicle crossing the intersection was very likely that vehicle crossing lanes of the highway or turning from oncoming lanes. Does that mean the truck driver failed to yield to the victim?

Again, I can’t confirm anything without seeing more evidence for myself. But when there are this many red flags surrounding a serious truck wreck, it’s not often those red flags turn out to be false alarms. Still, it’s going to be up to the evidence to speak for itself.
