Further details also say that the truck involved did return to the scene, though it’s unclear if authorities are considering charges. The accident is still under investigation.
Holland Township, MI — May 27, 2023, a person sustained injuries as the result of a commercial truck accident at around 10:45 a.m. along East 8th Street.
Investigations from Holland Department of Public Safety officials indicate that the incident occurred in the area of the East 8th and Fairbanks Avenue intersection.
According to current statements, the incident involved a 42-year-old man that was said to be rollerblading along the roadway at the time. Somehow, a collision occurred where a semi-truck reportedly hit that man. The semi-truck then apparently left the scene.
As a result of the accident, the man was taken to a hospital via air transportation. Current details about his injuries are unavailable at this time. Police say they believe the vehicle involved to have been a light blue semi truck that was hauling dual trailers. No further information can be confirmed pending additional details.
