Anytime authorities mention alcohol, it’s going to raise some red flags. But as straight-forward as folks would think an alcohol related crash would be, the reality is they’re often incredibly complex due to the fact they often involve more than just an intoxicated driver. They also tend to involve negligent alcohol providers who also need to be investigated.

Simply put, alcohol providers who over-serve obviously intoxicated persons can potentially face criminal investigations, fines, suspended licenses, and liability for resulting injuries. But if authorities are only concerned with blaming people involved in an accident, they could overlook this serious factor. That’s how negligent alcohol providers slip through the cracks when they could otherwise face appropriate consequences for their actions which led to a serious accident.

Again details right now can’t be confirmed, so this all depends on what the evidence ultimately says. It’s just important for authorities to ensure they’re looking at all relevant evidence so nothing important is overlooked.
