Authorities also say they suspect the teen driver involved was intoxicated at the time. If that’s true, do they suspect drugs, or is it alcohol? Obviously, both are bad and worthy of appropriate consequences, but alcohol raises the possibility someone provided alcohol to someone who is underage. Even more concerning is the possibility a local alcohol provider like a liquor store or gas station is selling alcohol to minors. That’s never something a community can let slide, but that’s especially true when such negligence leads to people getting killed.
Houston, TX — May 8, 2024, two people were killed and two teens were injured in a car accident shortly before 8:30 p.m. along Galveston Road.
According to authorities, two people were traveling in a white vehicle attempting to make a turn onto northbound Galveston Road somewhere between Timber Creek Drive and Brookglen Drive when the accident took place.

The cause of the accident is still unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the white vehicle was involved in a collision with a silver vehicle occupied by two teenagers which had been traveling southbound on Galveston Road. The wreck caused both of the involved vehicles to leave the roadway, neither of them coming to a stop within 100 feet of the roadway, reports state.
Both of the people who had been in the white vehicle suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash and were declared deceased at the scene. The two teens who had been in the silver vehicle each suffered injuries of unknown severity; they were transported to local medical facilities in order to receive necessary treatment.
