Galveston County, TX — March 28, 2024, Joseph Scott and one other person were killed following a motorcycle versus car accident just before 3:00 p.m. along F.M. 646.
According to authorities, 59-year-old Joseph Scott and a 38-year-old female passenger were traveling on an eastbound Harley-Davidson motorcycle along Farm to Market 646 at the Caroline Street intersection when the accident occurred.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a westbound Mitsubishi Lancer attempted a left turn onto southbound Caroline Street at an unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to eastbound traffic when the traffic signal was showing a blinking yellow arrow for their lane. This poorly timed maneuver resulted in a collision between the motorcycle and the Lancer. Both Scott and the female passenger incurred reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the crash; they were both declared deceased at the scene. No other injuries have been reported.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
