Buffalo County, WI — November 30, 2023 Joseph Gassen was injured in a truck accident just before 7:00 in the morning along S.R. 35.
According to authorities, Joseph Gassen was traveling in a northbound truck along State Road 35 approaching the 5A Dam entrance when the accident occurred.
The pickup truck was allegedly slowing in order to make a left-hand turn at the entrance of the dam when, for unknown reasons, it was rear-ended by an 18-wheeler with a trailer in tow. Gassen was reportedly injured as a result of the accident; he was transported to a local medical center by emergency medical services in order to receive treatment. No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the accident is still under active investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were not specifically reported on; however, video of the scene post-accident which has been published in the news depict clear skies and dry roads. There are not currently any additional details available concerning this incident.
