Bastrop County, TX — March 1, 2024, Jose Nevarez was injured in a car accident at approximately 8:00 a.m. along State Highway 21.
According to authorities, A GMC Savana van was entering westbound S.H. 21 using the onramp from Farm to Market 812 when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the van attempted a U-turn from westbound to eastbound at an unsafe time. This resulted in a collision between the front left corner of the GMC and the back right side of a westbound Ford F-350 occupied by 35-year-old Jose Nevarez.
Nevarez incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident. He was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
