Kerrville, TX — May 24, 2025, Jose Montes Jr. was killed as the result of a car accident at around 10:35 p.m. along Harper Road.
According to initial details about the crash, it took place at the intersection of Harper Road and Lake Drive.
Investigators said that 27-year-old Jose Alberto Montes Jr. was in a Chevy pickup going along Harper Road at the time. In a series of events which cannot be confirmed right now, the vehicle ran off the side of the road and crashed. Due to this, Jose Montes was reportedly killed.

There are certainly concerning details in the news about what reportedly happened here. The reason I say it’s “unconfirmed” is because I’ve handled many cases where the initial reports left out crucial details. There could be all kinds of factors that led up to the crash, including potential vehicle defects or a medical emergency. Those details usually don’t come to light or get ruled out unless there’s a proper reconstruction of the events surrounding the crash. At the very least, those who lose a loved deserve to know the victim’s side of the story is being represented fairly. That’s not likely to happen through preliminary news reports.
