Authorities at this time claim alcohol is a suspected factor in the crash. If that’s true, where did that alcohol come from? While people understandably focus on the drivers in these accidents, alcohol providers can be responsible for a crash if they unlawfully over-served the intoxicated driver. It exposes the providers to potential criminal investigations, license suspensions, fines, and liability for the resulting injuries or deaths.

The reason this is important is because authorities too often let alcohol providers off the hook. People are killed or hurt because a local establishment couldn’t be bothered to do their work safely, but they may not be held accountable unless victims and families consider the legal avenues which authorities see as a low priority. So while nothing can be confirmed about this accident based solely on initial reports, there seems to be plenty to know there needs to be thorough investigations to ensure those affected by this crash know those who wronged them will actually be held accountable.
