Nueces County, TX — May 26, 2024, Jose Jimenez Jr. was injured following a car accident at approximately 1:00 p.m. along State Highway 361.
According to authorities, 46-year-old Jose Jimenez Jr., a 46-year-old woman, and a 13-year-old girl were traveling in a northbound Dodge Ram pickup truck on S.H. 361 on a bridge in the vicinity northwest of Harbor Island Road when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a southbound Lincoln Town Car attempted a U-turn at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to northbound traffic. This resulted in a collision between the front-end of the Town Car and the front-left side of the pickup truck.
Jimenez incurred reportedly severe injuries as a result of the wreck; he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
