Eagle Pass, TX — February 25, 2023, Jose “Chivi” Humberto Rodriguez was killed in a single-vehicle truck accident around 11:20 a.m. on State Highway 57 in Eagle Pass.

Authorities report Jose “Chivi” Humberto Rodriguez’s Peterbilt semi-truck was westbound on Highway 57. Investigators could not point to a clear reason, but the truck reportedly left the roadway and overturned on the shoulder. The tractor-trailer, carrying combustible materials, then caught fire.

Jose Humberto Rodriguez, 66, suffered fatal injuries in the crash.

The incident is still under investigation. There are no further updates at this time.
