Brazoria County, TX — May 22, 2023, Jose Alberto Rodriguez and another person were injured after a semi-truck accident at 5:15 a.m. along Highway 35.
Initial details about the crash have been made public by authorities investigating the crash. Their preliminary statements show that the incident took place near the intersection of Highway 35 and F.M. 1459.
According to officials, 48-year-old Jose Alberto Rodriguez was in a Chevy Silverado that was traveling northbound along the roadway. While crossing through the intersection, police say they believe an 18-wheeler going southbound disregarded a red light, crashing into Rodriguez’s vehicle.
As a result of the collision, Rodriguez sustained injuries said to be incapacitating. The driver of the truck reportedly had non-incapacitating injuries. No others were reportedly involved in the crash. Authorities indicated there may be charges pending against the truck driver. Further information about the crash is not available at this time.
