Hidalgo County, TX — April 9, 2023, Jorge Juarez Martinez and four others were injured in a two-vehicle crash around 11 a.m. on E. Mile 15 N. in Hidalgo County.
Authorities report Mr. Martinez, an adult passenger, and an infant passenger were heading south on N. Mile 4 W. in a Chevy Malibu while the two other adults were eastbound in a GMC Sierra on E. Mile 15 N. The two vehicles reportedly collided in the eastbound lane in the intersection as the Malibu was crossing E. Mile 15 N.
Investigators report the nose of the Sierra struck the rear, passenger side of the Malibu.
Jorge Juarez Martinez and his adult passenger purportedly suffered serious injuries, while the infant suffered minor injuries. The driver of the Sierra reportedly suffered minor injuries. The passenger in the Sierra was reported as having possible injuries.
Authorities have not released the cause of the crash at this time.
