Hunt County, TX — June 30, 2023, Jordan Sherman was injured as the result of a possible drunk driving accident at 10:08 p.m. along F.M. 35.

Authorities said in their statements that the incident took place in the area of the Farm-to-Market 35 and County Road 2526 intersection.

According to officials, 21-year-old Jordan Sherman was in a Ford Mustang that was traveling the southbound lane of F.M. 35. While doing so, authorities believe that a northbound pickup was going the wrong way on the southbound lane. Both drivers apparently attempted to avoid a collision, but they ended up colliding. Authorities say this sent Sherman’s vehicle off-road.

Sherman was said to have incapacitating injuries due to the crash. It’s unclear if anyone else was hurt. Authorities allege that the driver of the pickup was under the influence of alcohol at the time and would potentially face a charge for DWI. No further information about the crash can be confirmed at this time.
