Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

When it comes to crashes like this, my primary concern is if it ever got the attention it needed. There are certain types of accidents which are often seen as a low priority, so authorities sometimes let them slip through the cracks. Both single-vehicle wrecks and motorcycle wrecks are among the most common kinds of accidents I get calls about where people feel authorities rushed to judgment or otherwise handled things poorly. Now, independent investigations sometimes show authorities didn’t miss anything and did a good job. Even that can be an important step for victims and families. But if there is more to the story, there needs to be measures in place to make sure those details come to light.
