Bedford, TX — March 30, 2024, John Ulys was injured following a car accident at approximately 12:30 p.m. along Harwood Road.
According to authorities, 56-year-old John Ulys and a 52-year-old woman were traveling in an eastbound Hyundai Sonata on Harwood Road at the Central Drive intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a westbound Mercedes-Benz on Harwood Road attempted a left turn onto southbound Central Drive at an apparently unsafe time. This resulted in a collision between the front end of the Sonata and the right side of the Mercedes. The collision caused the Mercedes to spin clockwise, leading to a secondary collision between the left side of the Mercedes and the front end of a Chevrolet Bolt which had been at a stop at the intersection for the red light indicated by the traffic signal.
Ulys incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck; he was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
